Oia is a beautiful Galician town on the Camino de Santiago, north of A Guarda. This town falls along the Portuguese Coastal route to Santiago. Complete with the Santa María Monastery, surfing spot, waterview cafes and small historic winding alley style streets.

Maybe some day we will find what we are looking for. Or maybe not. Maybe we’ll find something much greater than that. 🇮🇹
Beautiful church cut into a valley, with a surprising, little waterfall streaming at its side. The journey to peneda is part of the experience. The breathtaking drive through the mountains comes with awe inspiring views and first-hand experience with free range cattle and goats.

The little Chapel of Our Lady of Peace is one of my favorite churches on Sao Miguel Island in Azores, Portugal. The church is high up in the hills and overlooks the village of Vila Franca do Campo offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. The small church also offers beautiful examples of religious, azulejo tile depictions and a beautiful example of double switchback stairs, a common Portuguese architectural style.
