The Azores have been a complete surprise and delight. We found all the spots that are a “must-see”, yet it felt like we found so many hidden treasures as well. This spot can be found just outside the @calourahotelresort . I spent my first two night in Caloura and I was so happy that I did. Waking up each morning to this rugged coastline brought me an equal sense of peace and adventure that I can’t even describe.
Fresh seafood dishes are prepared with local caught same day catch fish. This seafood spot is fresh, delicious and affordable. We started off with some olives and bread, and had the best Cataplana I’ve had in quite some time.
Local produce galore. We stayed at a Ponta Delgada Airbnb very close to the market in order to procure fresh produce to chef up daily. Come here to source the freshest, local ingredients the Azores and Sao Miguel Island has to offer.
